Default KYMCO atv?

Newbie to this forum and to riding. Looking to buy my very first atv and I have a budget and prefer new since I don't want to buy someone else's junk. A place a couple of hours from me has some 2013 kymco wheelers on clearance to make room for 2014 models. So he has a 450i mxu 4x4 for $4,500. 450i maxxer 4x4 for $5k. And a 500i mxu 4x4 for $4,800. That's his OTD price I pay taxes and registration on my own.

Since this is my first wheeler I don't want to spend more that $5k and these have a 1 year warranty and I can extend it to 6 years for $850. The guy says these are just arctic cats for 20 percent less. According to him they have been making 500 and smaller atvs for arctic cat and Kawasaki for years now.

I'm really just going to use this to plow and do trail riding. Any experience with them?

Kymco's are rock solid machines!
I am positive that these finely made "Tiwanese" machines will serve you well.
Yes, AC orders machines from Kymco. Not sure about Kaw.

The Kawasaki Brute Force 300 is a Kymco if I remember right. As said, some of the smaller Arctic Cats are also. The do make another 300 class machine for a major maker but I can't remember who. I've only seen a few here and there. Most articles and long term tests give them high marks.

I have owned and wrenched on 2 Kymco Mongoose 300s, and 2 Arctic Cat
DVX250s, made by Kymco. I like how they are made, and parts were easy to get.

As for the bigger Kymcos (MXU utilities and MAXXER sport ATVs), I am not aware
of any OEM arrangements with any of the Big Seven makers. I would LOVE to get
my hands on a larger MXU, and the MAXXER 500i 4x4 is packed with features, for
a new sale price of $4999 at US dealers.

Have you shopped around at your major players? I know i could pick up a brand new kawi 400 for $5000 last year towards the end of the model year and i see they still have a few cheaper than that. I know all the major players in my area had deals like that. then you get a bit better warranty. Not that im knocking imports as i have several of them with no issues.

the AC 366 is all Kymco. I know the motor in the Brute Force is at least.
