Default Chinese 250cc twin ignition problems

We have a Chinese quad (no name) it says 250st in camouflage colours. Good spark to 1 cylinder but no spark to other cylinder. We have swapped coil packs over and they both work on the good side but not on the bad side which sort of indicates the CDI unit the unit we have is a CBT125 2 connector 1 4pin and 1 2 pin. Can't work out how the CDI distributes the spark to the appropriate cylinder we have replaced the CDI with the same as above with no change but can't guarantee that the CDI on the bike is the correct CDI. Can anybody help

eBay pulls up a lot of parts for it. They even have a complete harness with all the electronics.

Default Now have a spark

Update on the lost spark we have linked across from the sparking side (pre Coil) and it now runs, which indicates we may have the wrong CDI (CBT125) I guess the system is what they call a wasted spark. Can we leave it like this or will it damage the CDI.

All quads seem to be "wasted spark" the only single cylinder bikes I have come across that were not are the old 200ES Honda three wheelers. I would have thought that the standard set up would be for either the CDI to fire both coils from one wire, or a two HT lead coil.

Default Twin Coil 250cc wiring harness

Hello everyone, I am in search of the correct wiring harness for my “what I was told 250cc” The motor it has is a twin motor that has 2 spark plugs that connect to 2 separate coils yet every wiring harness I find doesn’t match up. Please let me know if you have ever run into this or know where I can find the correct harness. Thanks

Sounds like an old Quadzilla 250, they used what looks like the standard 6pin Chinese CDI to fire two coils from a single CDI output pin. It isn't a standard CDI by the way as the pin out is peculiar to Quadzillas. They marketed the same bike under the RAM badge too. Quadzilla UK gave me no backup when I had ignition problems with one. So I would guess it is the usual zero spares backup situation with them. Fix your existing harness and forget trying to get a new one.
