Chinese 110cc no spark
#1
Hi all,
Many thanks for any help in advance!
I have a Chinese quad with no spark.
I have changed/done the following with known good parts:
- spark plug- CDI
- ignition coil
- voltage regulator
- new wiring harness last year- checked woodruff key - good
The only thing I haven't changed yet is the stator. It's a 2 coil. I haven't tested it either.
I don't understand why I'm still not getting a spark. I have read through many forums but all of the problems seem to be behind one of the parts I already replaced (besides the stator but I doubt that it went bad - they rarely do). I will replace it next - I have one on the way.

Using substitution to fix an ignition problem is a waste of time and money, Always do the tests in the "help diagnose stator" sticky here before substituting anything except the spark plug. Your problem may just be a loose wire or faulty ignition switch, and fault diagnosis would find it. Never fit a new CDI without checking the wires to it anyway, a faulty earth wire would result in it blowing the new CDI too.
