Hey guys I just recently bought a eton viper 2 stroke it ran for a while but the compression was slowly going down also it’s wasn’t running very good and opened the carb and the float was broken and I replaced that. so I bought a 100cc kit for it and rebuilt it. Starts and idles all day but you put it in gear and pin it and keep it pinned it will run all day but if you go slower for a couple seconds it just dies. I cleaned the carb multiple times but can’t figure it out

 

Check the exhaust isn't bunged up with carbon. Other than that, it is a case of checking that you have not made a mistake when rebuilding the carb, i.e. got jets the wrong way round or not set the float height correctly, also check compression now, to ensure nothing is wrong there. It could be an ignition fault, but this is bad to trace when it actually does spark. Also eTon electrics are different, the generic Chinese CDIs etc, won't work on them.
