Coolster Has Spark and Fuel, Cant Figure It Out!
#11
i kinda thought that initially, im just not an electrical expert by any means and was stuck on it being an electrical issue. i will test compression with my buddys gauge but it feels like the compressions there. i guess valves would be my next culprit if it is? ill hold off on the stator for now since i stand coreected. appreciate the input yall

Also try another plug (since it looks like you've only had one in there). When checking spark it is possible for the plug to fire fine outside the engine, but not fire inside the engine under compression (which requires about twice the voltage to jump the gap).

I finally got some time to fool around with it. I went to good ol harbor freight and got a compression tester. I tested it and it was right under 100 psi. I also put the new stator on. I don't know if that has to be aligned properly but there's no marks to indicate the timing on sprockets, just a t and f with some dotted lines on the magneto. I threw it back together to test it and it backfires loud about every 5-10 seconds. Its a small auto atv, think the valves could be that out of whack? Thanks for help eveyone
