how do you know when the belt is worn out?
#2
You will know when the belt needs replacing. You will either see and smell the smoke if you burn it or it will just not go right. It will seem like it is missing a few gears and it will slip real bad. Kind of the same as an automatic car that the tranny is slipping, it will be very arratic, jerky, and just not move right.

Actually, there should be a minimum width measurment. It's probably not in the owner's manual but would be in the service manual. Or ask your dealer. On my sled, I change belts when it's worn 1/2 way to minimum. Of course that belt has to deal with 150hp.
