02 Scramble 400 tuning help
#1
I purchased a HSP performance kit (Gen-II pipe, hypershift clutch kit and K&N filter). I had a dealer install it, but he is a complete moron (should have bought the rcr). I ride in central IL, 80-100 degrees, if anyone else is ridding in the same region, what Main jet, clip position and airscrew setting are you using?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Nope, the dealer did not offer that valuable piece of paper work, nor did he give me the jets that were supposed to have come with the kit. A week after the install I had to pull the secondary clutch out and replace the buttons.

UMMM grease the clutch weights? IDIOT!!! I would find out what main is in your quad now and find out what mains hsp sent. If you dont have the ones from hsp then I think the dealer owes you some main jets along with the instructions. I used to live in Joliet ILL. With the hsp pipe, clutch kit, and K&N filter your main should be between 145-150 with needle set on middle to second slot from top, airscrew 1 1/2 turns out. It will change with weather but this is close. OH wait is this for a 250 or a 400?

When all is said and done, it might not be a bad idea to notify Hot Seat which dealer that is, and what they did....er, I mean didn't do. Sounds like 2many has you covered.

If in doubt, give the nice folks at Hot Seat a call. They should be able to send you a new set of instructions or help you out over the phone
