K&N air filer ONLY on a Rancher
#1
What can I expect if I just add the K&N air filter only to the Rancher? A performance gain? Will the additional air flow cause me to have to add the Jet kit to obtain the best performance?
All I'm really trying to do is improve the filtration of the air to prevent dust from entering the engine, and perhaps a little low end performance gain, without incurring additional costs, or sacrifices in dependability or reliability. It is still under warrenty.
THANKS!

I talked with the K&N people direct. They told me they "HOPE" to have the K&N for the Rancher by end of summer.
You should get a little gain from the filter. Most likely you will not have to rejet. If you do it should only be one size.
I wish K&N would hurry up & make the filter

lablover,
don't worry about filtration with your stock filter. It is a damn well made filter , and as long as you clean it every 30 hours or so, you will be fine. I would not consider the K and N filter unless I was after a performance gain.
