I hardly had it off the trailor and it was really smoking. What does that mean and what is the cure?

I would run it a couple of hours , could have some oil in the top end from when it was built , or maybe the ring gaps are alligned .

its because of the over flow going right into the airbox and if u have too much oil in it it will get into ur airbox and then sucked into ur carbs thus making it smoke really bad.

I hope it goes away. I checked the oil level and it seemed a little high so I took a few oz. out. I figured I would have some oil in my airbox so I popped the top and to my surprise, it was dry as a bone in there. I guess it would have had to be pretty full to get blown out going under 10 mph.

Well now that it is light outside I figured out where the smoke was coming from. It is the oil and residue burning off of the outside of the muffler. I can't believe it smoked as much as it did. I was sure it was burning oil. Thanks for all your help!

TextHowdy,
just be sure that the oil isnt overfilled. Check the level with the stick screwed all the way in. If it has a thimble full too much it will suck it into the airbox. Have a goodun!!!!!!!!!!

Yup, you figured it out. Mine smoked quite a bit also. You can also tell because the manufacturing oil has a unique smell to it.
