Hey, my bud has got his praire ripped apart, so he's back to using the sportsman 400. I rode it tonite, and its not all that bad (you sti too high, but still) but the front end is swirly as hell. we disconected the chain to the front sprockets, cuase it was loose anyway. could this be the problem? Also, the tires don't have the best grip, but the sand was pretty wet out there..? anyone have any suggestions
P.S. Polaris bashers
i know this machine needs to be fixed, but i know alot of honda's that need to be fixed too, so shut up!

Check the front wheel alignment. It should have no toe-in. That is the usual cause of squirrelyness in the front end. A slight amount of toe out is required for front end stability.

Also check for play in the steering system. Wiggle the handle bars back and forth very gently and see if there is play there. It may need new tie rod ends.
