A friend of mine just got back from Polaris school. He said they told him there is going to be a 700cc sportsman coming out. They'll have to widen the trails 2 feet for this beast in WV. I don't know if this is true but do you think there will be a market for a bike like this or is it just getting rediculous??

Hey Jham I don't know about where you ride but my 500cc is plenty enough for down here, but the thought is intriquing. What polaris should be doing is shaving some of the weight off the 500cc now that is what I would like to see done. Is there some good riding where you are in WV it is great down here some of the guys that have never rode these hills don't have any idea of what they are getting into do they hehehe. They are getting readyh to open the Hafield McCoy trail down here.

Just look at how far the "personal watercrafts" have come. I can't wait till they start putting in 3 cylinder 1200cc engines.

We will most likely not see anything more the 799cc's. Once a machine is 800cc's or more, the Feds no longer considered a recreational ATV. I forget what they call it as after that. You would have problems getting a license to use it on public trails.

i agree lurch77 i think anything over 800cc is considered a ORV, not an ATV. i dont know what the diffrence is other that engine size.
i know that a Dune Buggy i considered a ORV as is a HUMMER.

You`ve got that right JHAM. I`m sure I`ve been on some of the same trails you`re talking about and I`m not sure 2 feet would be enough.
