Hello There,

Has anybody that owns a Rancher had any problems with the clutch being out of adjustment? A friend of mine has a Rancher and he only has about 20 hours or so on it and the shifting was noisy and it was not shifting correcly. The shop told him the clutch was way out of adjustment. Has anybody else seen this happen on a new machine?

I am considering buying a Rancher so I was curious...

Thanks

Chris

No problems here. 40 plus hours & 300 miles.

The clutch adjustment is simple, all you need is a wrench & screwdriver.

Why doesn't your friend take it back to the shop, with 20 hours is it still be under warrenty?

My Honda dealer told me to bring my Rancher back after 20 hours for service. Did your friend do this? the service included everything from an oil change to cable adjustments including the clutch adjustment which is VERY simple to do yourself. I had no problems in the first 20 hours, nor have I had any in the near 100 hours I have ridden it since, and some of that near 100 hours included hauling firewood and stone. I LOVE MY RANCHER!
