are the specs for gaping the vavles different from a stock cam? if so will the vavle springs and a after market piston also affect the gap specs?

I use .006 and .008, got to check them often. I tried a "tight" .006 once and the quad acted up once it got hot.

if it is too tight...eventually it will get hard to start.... Very rarely do you see a valve loosen...usually they tighten over time.
