Eiger '02 auto cannot get out of reverse

Default Eiger '02 auto cannot get out of reverse

Any ideas on this one? I cannot get it out of reverse not into neutral or hi/low range?

take the shift linkage off at the motor and try to shift it at the motor ...it could be that your hand shifter linkage is bent...

Default Eiger '02 auto cannot get out of reverse

Finally up and running! The shifting assembly has two parts, shifting lever and cam type connector to the transmission cable. Suzuki only sells this as a complete unit ($385 thanks alot Suzuki). The two parts are joined by a shear pin (about 1 1/2" long) that keeps them engaged. That pin did its job and broke. A local small engine repair shop guru figured it out in 5 min, taped the broken pin together and cut me another from a bolt (it had a taper to it also) for $30. Guess who is at the top of my shopping list for Xmas. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
