Eiger '02 auto cannot get out of reverse
#4
Finally up and running! The shifting assembly has two parts, shifting lever and cam type connector to the transmission cable. Suzuki only sells this as a complete unit ($385 thanks alot Suzuki). The two parts are joined by a shear pin (about 1 1/2" long) that keeps them engaged. That pin did its job and broke. A local small engine repair shop guru figured it out in 5 min, taped the broken pin together and cut me another from a bolt (it had a taper to it also) for $30. Guess who is at the top of my shopping list for Xmas.
