Default Pink slip for new DS650 (California)

I purchased by new DS 650 in November. I just got the pink slip from DMV in the mail yesterday, but there was no "green sticker" enclosed. Do the pink slip and sticker generally arrive at the same time? I am getting worried about it, because I would like to have that sticker before I go to Glamis in two weeks, to eliminate the chance of being hassled about it. Thanks.

Pink slip is proof of ownership.

Registration is what should come with the Green Sticker.

Did you ever get Registration?

You will probably need to go down to the DMV to get a new Green Sticker and registration print-out. Take you bill of sale and pink slip when you go.

You won't get any flack from the Rangers at Glamis.

Thanks for the reply. I did not get the registration in the mail yet (only the temporary that the dealer gave me when I bought it-it was a brand new bike). I assume you are saying that the reg arrives separately from the pink slip. I guess if I don't get the sticker by the time the dune trip comes up, I'll have to make sure and keep the temporary registration with me. If I went to DMV (I have access to the AAA satellite branch which is MUCH quicker), would they give a green sticker if I showed them the temporary reg and the pink slip?

I takes quite some time to get your sticker. Mine took almost 5 months it seemed.

I made a copy of my registration (temp.) put it in a ziplok and wrapped it around the tool-kit. Finally pulled it out of there about 2-years later!

Probably not a bad idea to keep a copy there. You never know. . . if someone stole it or something. . .

Just keep your temporary paper registration with you, you should not have any issues with the man. i seem to remember the AAA telling me they do not issue green stickers, sorry.

Billsner is right, AAA wont handle green sticker vehicles. The good news is that when you go to the DMV for your green sticker they will hand it to you on the spot.
