i run cross country races and installed 22' razors on the back. however now, i can't start off in second anymore. how many teeth is the front sprocket stock, and what size should i get to get the low end power back? since i only race cross country, top speed is not important, just low to mid power.

 

Stock is 16/40.

15/42 or 15/43 is very good with 22" tires, pretty much puts you back to stock gearing.

A 14 tooth on the countershaft will let the chain rub the swingarm pivot nut.

 

Anyone have any idea the size of that engine mount nut..near the back of the engine. I'm having a hard time removing it and need a socket (1/2") to fit my impact wrench...Thanks

 

I put on a 15t with my 22" holeshots and WOW! night and day difference.

I ran 16/15/14.
15/40/22 is TALLER then stock gearing... 14/40/22 is JUST a bit shorter then stock giving you a power advantage and only a slight top end.
