i have a honda 200s and i think that the coil has gone bad. So i was wondering if any body had one that workes. Since i can't afford the one at the honda shop near me they want $50 for one. So thought i would see if anyone had one that they would sell to me.

try this..it will work..and better !!!!..get an old auto plug set..( make sure your coil wire unscrews off of your coil )..cut a new strip off of the auto wire...make sure to check the coil wire fuse ..yes..they do put fuses in the end of some of these !..put it back together..and watch how much better it runs !..and yes..your lucky..my dealer wanted me to buy the whole coil !..90 bucks !

Check all of your connections...IE the bolts that mount your coil and clean the ground wire and where it contacts the coil. I would hate to see how many parts get thrown in the trash due to poor wire connections and poor frame grounds.
What year is your 200s??
.........................................Primary coil value (ohms)....................Secondary coil value (ohms)
84 200s............................0.2 - 0.4............................................... 3 - 5 K
85 - on 200s.....................0.16 - 0.20...........................................3.7 - 4.5 K
hold the coil so the plug wire is on the left side
Primary is tested from the end of the plug wire to the left mounting hole
Secondary is tested from the coil ground to the right mounting hole
If you need me to e-mail you the Tables, PM me
Had to put in all the periods other wise the chart smashed together when I posted it

You can buy the plug wire separately from an older Honda 750, you can cut it to fit. I've tried using auto grade spark plug wire and seen others do the same, I gotta say it didn't work very good. It's not the same resistance as the Honda wire.
