torque numbers

Default torque numbers

is there a sight where I can get torque numbers fo putting my motor back together?

just ask here there not that many anything that is a small bolt is a 89 inch pound the head bolts are 44 ft.pounds the smaller ones seems there 24 ft.pounds. the cam chain tensioner is 30 something i'm sure others will fill in the blanks.

I'm quite sure people have said do NOT tighten the head bolts to 44 ft lbs, I think it was 222 or Mr. HP that recomended 39 ft lbs. I have heard of people shearing bolts off, just trying to achieve 44 ft lbs. You might check by doing a search and see what you find.

well, i've done mine to that torque, and i'm sure bombardier knew what they were doing, when they went for that number. but ihave also had to replace head nuts from going to that torque. i now run the stronger stay bolts.
