ATC70 Mid/High RPM problems
#1
Mt daughter has a 85 ATC70. It starts and idles great. When you get on it it will run good for a couple seconds then start cutting out. If you let off the gas it will again be OK until you get on it again. The problem seems to be not enough fuel volume. I have changed the fuel hoses, replaced the in line filters, cleaned the tank taps, Cleaned (several times) and rebuilt the carb. cleaned the fuel valve, Cleaned the carb bowl vent, checked the gas cap vent - No help. It use to run fine then this problem started and it seem to be getting worse. I must be on the wrong track on this fuel thing. Any Ideas ??????

Take it for a ride, and when it acts up, pull the choke on. If it runs better, look for things that would cause a lean condition. If theres no change, its either already too rich, or the points could be bad, or the spark plug could be giving out.
Intake leak, or low float level, would cause it to be lean.
let us know what you find.
