Well hot_shoe_cv told me how to take the slack out of the throttle when you push it, but when I try to turn the bolt (thats near the little throttle housing) it wont turn it's stuck or something....I tried to turn it both ways but it just wont move. Can someone help please???

 

Are you talking about the split nub up top on the handle bars? If so use a pipe wrench to break it free, then its easy to adjust.

 

Yes, I didn't know the name of it. It looks like a ring with little grooves in it, why do I use a pipe wrench...that thing is too small for a pipe wrench(too small for the pipe wrenches we have anyways)

Evidently the lock ring is frozen. It should not be that tight. Spray some wd40 all around it & let it sit overnight. Then use a pair of channel locks to loosen it counter-clockwise,away from the adjuster itself. It only needs to be loosened slightly as you're going to turn the adjuster the same direction anyway.
I wouldn't use any drastic torque on the ring until you have tried my suggestion. Since the ring is split to begin with you could break it, or worse, break the adjuster or throttle itself. The metal used here is not steel.

 

OK I just went out after I last replyed.

I got it, I just had to push harder...it was on there tight. I got the slack out(all of it) and now theirs no slack at all is this good?...or do I need a little slack??

I think you'd better re-read my email as to the test you must do adfter adjusting.

 

Leave a little slack in the cable. Here how to check. Adjust out the slack then move the handle bars all the way to the left then back to center then to the right all the way, if the motor revs up a little then put some slack back into the throttle cable.

Repeat until the motor doesn't rev when moving the handle bars.
