Default IF I was to run nitrous through my YFZ...

Just for thought, what would be some key modifications to do before running nitrous and what are the necessary things to do to the YFZ before running nitrous to prevent the motor from wrecking?

I would run a wet system so you don't go lean and go one or two steps colder on the plug and run at least premium, probably race gas. Shouldn't have to do any major mods as long as you keep the shot reasonable.

Mine is a direct port wet system and I like it, I don't like the idea of a dry system. Burn up the fuel faster with N2O but don't feed it more fuel! You have to run a bigger main jet to counteract running lean, and this makes it run rich off the bottle, which is when you'll do most of your riding.

Wallstreet, i was looking at the boondockers system and they say that it isnt forced into the motor at the carbs but are released by the filter and put through naturally. Will this allow me to run a correct fuel/air mixture when im using and noit using nitrous?

how much is that boondockers kit about 750 at least??. i know for a fact you cant get as much power out of it as you would a wet system. my nx kit was like 520 bucks. you wont hurt anything and you will have the correct a/f micture on and off the n20, im still not convinced you will have the same mixture just because the boondockers kit sprays in the airbox or whatever. if you want much of a power gain at all, you will have to have a fuel pump to get the ratio right.

Does the NX kit include a fuel pump? When I spray, it will be a wet system for sure.

yes it has a fuel pump the NX part number is 60011, retail is $729- when i got it it retailed for 6 something http://www.nitrousexpress.com/Pages/JetSki.htm . i got mine for way less than that. give this guy a call Joe Henderson (859)583-2224. tell him i sent you.

edit: actually henderson racing builds some rediculous raptors like 727 on nitromethane and some sprayin and all kinds of wicked stuff. i cant find his web site but definitely give him a call.
