I want to know if it is possible to put a yz426 motor in a 400ex frame, and if it would be fast or not. Iv been thinking about it for a while what do you guys think about this?

A guy around here did it, I saw it in the paper shop, for sale for 3500. I think it would be fairly easy, one of my friends threw one into a 250r frame a while back I think.

 

ive seen one too... it went good... but 450's were still walkin on it... then again it was probably all rider.

 

theres one for sale on paatving.com 8500 its sweet im not sure if its fast but its do able

 

yeah, it is possible, but i no longer think its worth the time and money. For close to, if not less cash, you could get a new yfz450 or 450r
Both of which have better handling characteristics

 

if this helps at all, ive seen yz250 engines in a blaster frame, also an old yamaha 600 duel sport dirt bike engine in a blaster
