Hello Everyone!

I am the proud new owner of a 04.5 Sportsman 600!

Never owned Polaris before, but so far the thing is simply awesome!

A couple of quick questions, after the warranty expires, is a Heelclicker really worth installing? If so what difference will I feel?

Thanks!!

Just changing the primary spring up one size will make a big difference on take off.

Where can I buy a new primary spring? What will that particular spring do? Will that allow for lower rpm engagement?

thanks! As you can tell, I am new to the world of automatic PVT belt driven systems. I know next to nothing about them.

All help is appreciated!

Most primary springs that improve performance, create a higher RPM engagement point. If you want performance increased, as well as immediate off-idle performance, the HeelClicker is probably the better way to go, although the more expensive way.
Maybe keep it stock during warranty, so there will be no issues there, though. That way the dealer can't say anything you did caused problems.

I got the gray spring with the white stripe on it right from Polaris for around $18. I know the mechanic at the dealership where I bought mine, and he suggested that particular spring with heavier weights, which were $33 for all three. It launches hard now, pulling up the front end real good, but if I still want to putt slow around the yard, it still does that fine too.

Welcome Tennessee Tider..

On other year models, the factory rear spring setting is set at it's softest....if this is the case with your, tighten it two clicks...you will notice a remarkable difference....

As far as the heelclicker kit and such....it's not a race quad......buy a sport quad to go along with it...

Do you ride at Windrock?
