blew a belt on my 05 700 prairie
#1
hey guys, i'm having all kinds of luck with my wheeler, last night i was riding my 700 wide open down a gravel and the belt apparently blew and killed the wheeler so i loaded it up and brought it home and took the cover off and sure enough the belt is in pieces, my question is can i start the wheeler without the belt on to see if it did any damage to the motor? cause last night when it died i turned it over and it turned over really wierd and wouldnt start, did i blow the motor too?

Yes you can succesfully start the motor with the belt cover off and the belt off also
BUT NOT UNTILL YOU UNPLUG THE ENGINE BRAKE CONNECTION
DO NOT SHUT THE KEY OFF WITH THE COVER OFF AND THE ENGINE BRAKE PLUGGED IN
You can shut the key off so long as you got the engine brake connection unplugged
Did you figure out why it would not start in neutral?
