Have you seen the professionals on t.v.!!! OMG!! They are awesome. Amazing someone can have that much balance. Looks like a trials bike would be expensive. I wouldn't mind gettin one to play on. I got the professionals beat, I can balance real good on my atv!

I have dabbled in mountain bike trials......it's a real kick.

So, it's time we started QUAD TRIALS! I think a Honda Recon would be a good machine to start with.

Years ago I owned a Bultaco Alpina for Northern California enduros. This was very similar to the Bultaco Sherpa T trials bike but with bigger tank, thicker seat, different tranny ratios, and porting. I entered a few easy trials events and I can say that it is much tougher than it looks. And back then they were not doing the insane rock cliff climbing. This is a very difficult sport.
Roger DeCoster actually started riding trials before he got into MX and for quite awhile riders thought trials riding was good practice for MX but that idea has lost favor. A good way to start out is to look into opportunities for Vintage Trials riding where you ride older bikes from the 70's usually. The sections are much easier but still quite a challange. The cost to get started is much lower with a vintage bike rather than a new bike.
