Paddles for a Sportsman??

SkatTrak may be your best hope. They will buff and paddle any tire you want. It will cost you though. Paddle masters come in some large sizes, but they are so stiff and heavy they kill too much power. Rear paddles should be adaquate to get anywhere you can on a Sportsman and Skat Trak offers large tires that would work well. Skat-Trak

I bought 25" paddlemasters from Rocky mt atv for about $250 for my sp700 but since returned them (unused) for a set of Geckos for my Scrambler which is more a necessity than for the 4x4.
IMO you don't need them but I'm sure it would help in the rear, I wouldn't go with them in the front. Just let out some air of a descent set of all around dirt/sand tire like all-tracks or sur-tracks or even the stockers.
