I'm looking at a 2000 gearbox from a Magnum 330 2x4 for a Mini Baja project. I'm wondering if you can shift between hi and lo on the fly or do you have to be stopped in neutral? Also where can I find the gear ratios?

 

You have to be stopped to shift between high and low. You will know if you were moving too fast because you will here a grinding sound. I am not sure about the gear ratios. Try to see if you can find an online owners manual for the magnum. That would provide the info. on the gear ratios.
