Default first clutching experiment...results

well i did my first clutch modification today, since i had to replace my belt a 2ND time... both have broken, not worn. Well i put the stock weights from an 04 (not 04.5) sportsman 700 into my scrambler. all i can say is wow... huge improvement for my riding style. FYI, the weights are 56gr. , so it drastically lowered my engagement. but for the type of riding i do its great. i went up to a tree, put it in 4wd, and at 1/8-1/4 throttle all 4 tires were spinnin, thats what i like... it lowered my whole rpm range. now it does feel lugged down. but i think my top end increased, but not sure on that. the take off is definitely a little less, but considering the next fast ATV here does 54 mph...im not worried at all (sp700, 26in 589's). overall im pleased with the results, made it much more utility oriented. now just to see how the belts hold up

How was it doing a clutch upgrade. I want to do one on my 400 sportsman but I was wondering is it a big job and what tools do you need. Thanks
