New clutch plates, steel ones

I just picked them up yesterday from the dealer the steel ones and looking at them they are smooth do i need to take some sandpaper and rough them up a bit?

i did mine when i put them in , crossed hatched them with 220 grit sand paper seems to make them grap a little better [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
