Default 2005 700 Carb Clutching and Performance

What are your opinions on Hotseat Clutch Kit, Aaen Clutch Kit, and Heel Clicker and why? I am looking for faster throttle response (no more hitting the gas and waiting for RPM to build up to start moving) and more power to the wheels. For top end I am installing a K&N, SP800 air box snorkel. I am looking into a jet kit and a complete Big Gun kit or Pure Polaris canister and pipe. I want power but I want to stay as quiet as possible. I know the both don’t go hand in hand but I need to try to keep the noise levels low while idling and cruising around. I don’t care about the noise when I get on the throttle. What do you guys think about my top end setup? What should I change and why.

The heelclickers kit is adjustable with weights, any kit should help a lot.
Engagement will be at a higher RPM for performance launches.

IMO the big gun is not worth the money and your biggest bang for the buck will be with a clutch kit.
The 800 pipe and PP/WB silencer is a good alternative for a low cost exhaust system. Jetting is a must to get any gains.

I have the silencer and will get th e800 pipe soon. Its not too loud.

Sounds like you are on the right track to me.

Jim

I went ahead and bought a White Brothers (Pure Polaris) muffler. I also bought a 2005 Sportsman 800 header pipe. The 800 snorkel has not gotten here but is on the way. I live in Florida (0 elevation) and do not plan on leaving the state to go riding. What is the part number for the jet should I install for my set up with the exhaust, K&N, and bigger snorkel? Should I leave the stock jet and just install a Dial-A-Jet? I am also ordering a Heel Clicker clutch kit with a Viper helix. When I install the clutch will I need to re-jet?

The clutch kit will not require jetting but the exhaust will.
