Need HELP New belt for a 04 Magnum4x4
#1
I took off my cover to inspect my belt today and since I took it off I might as well put on a new belt. THis is the first time I will be replacing it and I would like to know what is the best belt to put on? And where is the best place to get it?
The original belt seems fine with no marks or flat spots that I can find so it will be a spare. Also is there anything I should look for when putting on a new belt?
Thanks for any advice!!!

well ive just replaced my belts with Polaris belts..i guess ive never thought about lookin into a performance belt?? i dont know if your belt is that big of a deal when it comes performance if u just like trail ride...correct me if im wrong...but if ur goin through water i can see an aftermarket belt for that but if u just use it for work and trail riding just relace it with a Polaris belt

I agree... My mag was never meant for performance a we all know, but as you said I do end up in water alot.
Even so I will stay with the original belt.
Thanks for your input.

i'm confused, you have a limited lifetime warranty on the belt. i suggest that if you think you need a new belt, get the dealer to replace it FOR FREE under warranty!
don't waste your $$!! spend it on GAS instead!! LOL!

I was planning on doing that MT and no the belt isn't bad ( or atleast I don't think it is) but I think it would be smart to have a spare with me since if it does get smoked on the trails there is no way I will push it out (see signature) I think it would be easier to replace it right there on the trail. Since I want a spare why not put the new one on and be done ( slight peice of mind)

BTW, i carry a spare belt for my 700. i bought it a few years ago for my old 700 carb. though i've never had the opportunity to use it, it does provide the piece of mind you are talking about.
