Default turning the Predator into a good race quad

What are some good things I can do to make the Predator into a more formiddable race quad. I realize it is a little heavy etc but I love it and want to try a few races on it if I can.

So far I have:
- Hiper Tech Wheels 10x5 front, 9x9 rear.
- HPD +2" Steering Stem
- Fox Air Shox (stock shock on rear)
- HMF Full Exhuast w/jet kit
- Fat Bars
- EBC Rotors
- Rath Radiator Air Scoops
- IMS/AC Nerf Bars
- IMS Pegs
- IMS Heel Guards

I would love some advice on good tires for my wheels too. I really like Maxxis but am open to educated opinions. I would like to get an Elka rear shock but they are pricey so I cant do that just yet - I will most likley just get a new spring on mine for now.

Thanks guys!

You mean like a K&N kit or something along those lines? I was considering that but there are so many different ways to go that I have not decided which one to go with yet. I was thinking about lowering it a little but I am not sure what people think about that, it seems tall to me I guess - at least for racing. I have to figure out a good way to get the power to the ground since it spins the rear up so easily that I drift it alot more than I would like too.

I would go wit the twin air clamp on, you will have to mod your carb for it to work, but that very easy to do. You will have alot better trottle response. I have seen alot of MX riders using the Kenda Claws. Ask this question here. They are alot of people that race on there, and they can help you out.

I started racing my Predator this year and have been really happy with it! I went with the Kenda Klaws front and rear and they seem to hook up really well. I also lowered mine using the HPD triple rate springs and dont have any complaints with them. I would definatly lose that restrictive stock airbox, if you dont get into alot of mud, and get either the KN clamp on or as RAJ suggested the twin air. I am really happy with the KN setup I purchased from Rath Racing. You will also need a kill switch, most races require them. Other then that it looks like you have a good setup.

Any info on an extended swingarm? Who makes them and are they worth getting? I am still concerned about the ride height on this sucker and cannot seem to find any kits that will lower it, at least not from Google searches.
