There is no point in having a 5spd on an MX Race bike.
On an MX/SX track they all used to start in 2nd gear anyway, and never needed to use 1st gear when it had 5. They've just set the ratios in that aspect to save weight on a useless gear.

So it looks like they didn't make any significant changes to the kfx400. Does the 05 model have "twin air intakes on the front fenders to provide extra cooling to the radiator". I noticed that on this 06 model. It looks like all it is, is that they cut holes in the plastic to allow air to flow in towards the radiator.
