Default Some 06's are on the Kawi site !!!!
Not sure how the YZF was doing against the KXF .. but when it went from a 426 to a 450 it also dropped to a 4 speed.

There is no point in having a 5spd on an MX Race bike.

On an MX/SX track they all used to start in 2nd gear anyway, and never needed to use 1st gear when it had 5. They've just set the ratios in that aspect to save weight on a useless gear.

for o6 yamaha changed their 450 to a 5-speed .but on the mx track you don't need a 5-speed,but for supermoto racing the 5 -speed is nice to have

I usually only use 2nd thru 4th on my MX bike anyways, sometimes 1st, so I think a 4 speed is fine for MX.

So it looks like they didn't make any significant changes to the kfx400. Does the 05 model have "twin air intakes on the front fenders to provide extra cooling to the radiator". I noticed that on this 06 model. It looks like all it is, is that they cut holes in the plastic to allow air to flow in towards the radiator.
