update on 05 rancher ES 4x4
#1
well its been 10 months now, and 1500 miles later, n' lots of trails, and chasing cows, hauling wagons, neighbor kids, and my dog sleeping on it...
heres the problems i've had....
two flat tires.
thats it, no problems whatsoever, cept the flat tires.
this thing is tuff as nails !! never fails to start !!! goes anywhere i want to go, its got guts !!! tons of pulling power, and its 'simple'
easy to ride, everyone who rides it loves it,
all i've done to it is change the oil.
for a great do anything 4x4 utility quad, the rancher is hard to beat !!!

the 424 will make it easier to steer, especially on slippery mud-like surfaces where the 4x4 will make your front tires slide forward instead of actualy turning. turns easier on pavement too, doesnt jerk the axles around as much.
There is actually a warning in the instruction manual that says: Warning, a handling change will occur in the 2x4 mode.
I thought it was kinda funny when i read that. Piece of cake to install, had mine done in like 30 minutes by myself. would be quicker and easier with 2 people.

Our 02 Rancher 4X4 ES only has 1300 miles on it. We have spent $zero on repairs.
Our 01 Rubicon has over 5600 miles on it and all we have done is left upper control arm bushings and shaft. Seal leaked water in and pitted the shaft. Totoal $ spent for repairs; less than $20.
Thats a total of almost 7000 miles and $20 in repairs. I'm impressed.

yes, they are great machines !!!
love the rancher ES !!!!
, my dad liked it so much, he went out and bought the exact same thing !!
hes 72 years old !! him n' mom ride all over their farm, doing chores and checkin cow's...
pop just loves the honda tranny, says he likes the fact he can select what gear he wants, and it stays there.
im the same way. we both really like the ES , we've never had any problems at all, the more we ride em, the better we like em.
