2004 Sportsman 400 leaking coolant from wheap hole
#1
I noticed my coolant to be a little low the other day. I was inspecting it and noticed that coolant is dripping from the weap hole underneath the warerpump. Does anyone know what I need to replace in the water pump to stop the dripping. Thanks

is it leaking from the water pump itself or is it leaking from where the waterpump connects to the engine? from the waterpump- buy a new one or try soldering/welding it. From the connection, most likely a gasket.

1/8 inch hole on ur block aint a small hole. you can weld it if you are a good welder, or take it to a local machine shop and have them do it would be the cheapest way, or you can buy the block which would cost a little err lots more.

Pretty sure the hole is supposed to be there. It was definately machined there when built. The impeller is actually in the block, with just a small cover over the top.
