Here in Augusta Ga. gas went from $2.39 to $3.00 in one day. Some of the stations were even running out of 87 octane. How about some of the other locations in the US. What are you paying?

In MD it jumped to 2.99 for 87 octane. That means huge profits for all the stations that had cheaper gas in the ground and can sell it and they new higher price.

Folks, its only going to get worse before it gets better. 7 of the larger refineries in the country were in South east Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. They are without power or worse, flooded out. With President Bush releasing oil reserves it will do little to bring down prices of gasoline. Crude oil is not the problem, Its refined gasoline. Without the refineries all the crude oil in the world wont mean much.

Also down hear in Louisiana, THE LOOP is completely shut down. THE LOOP is a oil pipe line that sends oil from Super Tankers in the gulf into the refineries or storage areas throughout the south. With out it the refineries that are up in running cant get enough crude to refine. Meaning there not refining at 100% output. Driving prices even higher.

They are saying that 25% of the oil production in this country is now off-line. It wouldnt surprise me to see $3.50 - $3.75 a gallon in a month if they dont get the refineries back on-line.

What is strange is the fact that for the first time diesel is cheaper than unleaded. Go figure. If there is a shortage of unleaded how is it that diesel is so cheap when it is a byproduct of gas? I smell a rat.

The reason for diesel being less. Today the United States relaxed there policies on Air pollutant fuels. There allowing Farm use only diesel to be sold to the general public until things get back online. Farm diesel doesnt burn as clean as road use diesel.

Its 3.19 in some spots most 3.39 in the Port Huron MI area..Crazy....Crazy... I neve seen so many 3s on the gas boards in my life. I just Bought a Honda Civic for work... I should of bought a house next to work ..LOL

At Sam's Club I got filled up for 3.16....I expect 4.00 b4 this is all over. Its going to slow this economy big time and the cost of things way up. congress needs to put a cap on prices or some thing...

I Pray for all down south. they got it much worse.
