HONDA ATC200 WONT MOVE NEED HELP

Default HONDA ATC200 WONT MOVE NEED HELP

I HAVE A 1983 ATC200 THAT I LENT TO A FRIEND TO GO HUNTING (NEVER AGAIN) HE WAS DOING NEUTRAL DROPS AND NOW IT WONT GO. IT SHIFTS THROUGH ALL THE GEARS BUT NO MOVEMENT. IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THE CLUTCH WAS BLOWN. ANY HELP WOULD BE NICE. THANKS JOHN

when in gear and you rev in up does the engine bog down at all , or does it sounds and feel like its in nuetral?

IT FEELS LIKE IT IS IN NEUTRAL.

by chance, the gear shifter isent stuck up or down is it? when i shift my 200s into second gear it usually sticks down. but other wise it sounds like a clutch problem, maybe try adjusting the clutch or take the clutch cover off and see if you can see anything thats wrong.

I don't know anything about your 200 but if it's anything like a semi-auto toilet seat 110 I had this is not good news. If you do neutral drops with this type of clutch it will break the ears off of the drum. A lot of aluminum parts in there. When this happens it won't go. Easy to fix though.
