Default CLUTCH PROB......

Well she's back together. 2 problems, (post build bumps) first is the clutch. i just swapped out the tranny (had it done) and put the engine back in. put the chain on and the clutch will not engage. ive tightened it fron the handlebars and at the block. I hold the clutch and it does not spin free. it has new clutch plates also. second is the damn lights. bought a new bulb but does not turn on. when i disconnect the front light the back turns on. crossed wires?

will take pics tomorrow with the new face lift. all new maier plastics, ims 4gal tank, ceet, esr pipe/silencer, esr open air k&n, handle bars (mx so they will not be so high), 86 back brakes, new sprockets and chain (12/42...lol just to test out) polished engine, (needs to be re-done) an 88 tranny in an 85 bottom half. ct 310 (old) and new parts here and there (OEM).

On mine, the vertical shaft that goes into the case was worn down. It would still engage, but it would barely move the horizontal rod that moves the pressure plate.

If it worked before you had the tranny swapped, I'd say whomever split the cases didn't put it back together right.
