Default sport 400 front ticking

looking for some advice for a '04 1/2 sportsman 400 that has suddenly developed a front end ticking noise. changed out the front diff fluid last night and it didn't seem to help at all. sounds like it is coming from the front left side more than anything. the unit only has 270miles on it and was hoping someone out there would have a suggestion for the solution. the cv boot looks fine and there is no oil or anything coming out of that side... what is in the hubs or driveshafts that would go? the AWD seems to be working fine as well. thankful for any help!

most definitely coming from the front of the quad, the motor sounds fine. i am thinking it has something to do with the front differential... any thoughts of where to start??

I take it it's 4WD?If so it sounds like a universal joint.
