Default skid plates for z250

Ive got a quick question. I've just got a new 2006 z250 and the first day I got it I went riding. And once I enter some of the parts of the woods the sticks and stuff brushed under the bottom. And I don't want my engine to get all scrapped up do you know where I can get some skid plates cheap for this brand and year of quad.

if your only concern is sticks and brush, and not rocks, you could get a plastic skid from maier. Those don't offer much protection against rocks though, which is a bigger issue than sticks and stuff. You could probably get a steel skid plate on ebay, but i'd get a good aluminum one, stronger and lighter than the cheap steel ones. Rockymountainatv.com is a good place to look for skid plates, they have an armadillo full chassis aluminum for your quad for 69.99 + shipping

I just got Suzuki A Arm guards, chassis skid plate, and differential skid plate for Christmas and Im very happy with them. Friday night I came down hard and got hung up on a pretty big rock on the side of a trail through my woods and thought for sure I dented something. After looking, the plate didn't even get the smallest dent in it, just a small scratch.

I have alot of experience with suzuki's a-arm guards for the z250 and I'll tell you they're crap. The plates themselves are very nice but the supplied clamps are too flimsy and when you start scraping over stuff with the a-arm guards the guards will loosen because the clamps will bend and they'll eventually fall off if you arn't paying attention.

The whole time I was putting the plates on I was thinking with these crappy clamps they are gonna get ripped right off. I have checked after every ride since then, and they have not loosened up yet so hopefully they last. If not, I'll find some better way to hold them on there.

Armadillo makes very nice quality skids for the Z250. You can find them at rockymountainatv.com or trailtracksand.com.
