Help me put this argument to rest.....(please)

Hi Guys. A friend of mine is buying a Warrior (I think that it is like a 1994). He swears up and down that it will beat my 400L (1998). Both machines are bone stock. I told him that didn't think that a Warrior would beat my 400, but I can't prove it until he gets his quad and it won't be for a couple weeks. I'm kinda getting sick of his mouth, so what do you guys think? Your input is appreciated. Thanks.

You'll definitely get him on take off, maybe even all the way. Hell, my stock 00 TBlazer will beat my cousin's 00 warrior till he hits 3rd. I've never ridden a 400, but I'd place my money on that. Hopefully some other 400 owner will help you out better. If your friend gets too mouthy, take him out in some mud or high rocks. His rear skidplate will really snub him up. Let us know how it turns out!

From the magazine shoot outs I have read the 400 always finished behind the Banshee but ahead of the Warrior. Drag races that is.... My Brother in law has a 91 warrior in decent condition and my scrambler beat it easily. We switched bikes cause he out weighs me by 90 pounds and the results were the same. If you loose a drag race with a stock warrior, there is something wrong with your quad. GJ

My riding pal's 400 scrambler can almost keep up with my shee (in a drag race). His scram is a bit prepped and my banshee was piped when we raced. We raced on a gravel road. He beat me on take off (I should have started in 2nd), but I quickly catched up and beat him more and more.
I think a Warrior will not do anything except being ridiculous...hehe

you have nothing to worry about, i went through the same thing with one of my buddies and his warrior, your 400 will spank him real bad. after i beat my bud on my 400 (piped,k&n,reeds,) i took my wifes 250 t blazzer,(piped, clutched,k&n) and dusted him untill he hit 5th gear. he is not so quick to brag any more. you should be looking for banshees to run with.......

A warrior beat a scrambler(moment of brief repetitive laughing) I don't think so!!!
I raced a warrior and won literally single handedly on my 2000 scrambler 400 2x4. The warrior tops out at 60mph on a good day. A scrambler can do 70mph without breaking a sweat.
Tell your buddy if he wants to win this race to unscrew the gas cap, dump a banshee motor in, and screw the gas cap back on.LOL.

How about a 500 4x4? My husband raced my brother on his Warrior(both stock). It was a dirt road and our Scrambler was winning until my brother hit 6th gear then he started pulling away.

No way that happened. A 500 Scram would tear a Warrior apart from start to finish.
As for the 400, I had a 99 400 Sport and whipped every Warriors a$$ I ever raced. I took a 400ex until the very top end where he pulled ahead.
My friend has a 00 400 Scram 4x4 piped and clutched, and he is the known EX killer around our parts. I know someone is going to say a 400ex will beat it on the track, but we are talking drag racing here. He outclimbs everyone we ride with, including the Banshees. He just can't seem to beat a Banshee in a straight out drag.
To get back to the point: If you lose to a Warrior, take the quad back, because there is something wrong with it.
