2000 bear tracker, the batter won't charge and when you turn on the head light it is extremely dim and gets dimmer when you rev it up. but if you put the light switch halfway between hi/low to where both are on, they get a little brighter. what do you think the problem is?

 

First check battery and charge system. If not charging check stator wiring . If stator is OK then regulator is most likly bad. Also check all your connections ( always do the easy and cheap things first ).
