I am right in the middle of buying two new quads for the kids. I am sure on the Kymco 90 for the youngest. I can't decide between the phoenix or the mongoose 250. The Kymco is very impressive but I am worried about $3,400 for a bike that is unfamilier to me. What do you guys think?

 

Kymco is a great atv but for 3400 and the phoenix is great also. Kymco is pretty new but has had alot of great reviews and they are loaded and look great. How old is the child going on the bigger one? Also did you look at the desert cat 90. They are awsome little atv's. This will save you some money there.

 

The child is Thirteen and experienced. I have decided on the Kymco 90 for sure. Its 4 stroke, auto, build well and most importantly, the mighty California green sticker!!!! I think the 250 Kymco is to much bike for the daughter. I'm leaning toward the Phoenix. Its overall size is smaller and fits her much better. Thats the most important point of all. And its $3100 instead of $3400. I wish I could decide between the Scrambler or a utility. The problems I have. LOL!!!!!!!!

 

How do the warranties compare?
You will have a reliable atv if you buy the mongoose.

I agree the kymco's come with a 1 year warranty vs a 6 month warr. also dont forget kymco is building A.Cats 250 and under atv's for them if that tell's you anything about there products. kymco is a very large CO. they build alot of stuff for honda as well. The phoniex is a good little machaine but no where's near what the kymco has to offer IMO.

 

Umm,,,Isn't the Phoenix a Kymco?
Look at the brake caliper and see if says Kymco.
The Kymco's are rock solid!!! I've raced the SAME Kymco in the 04 and 05 12 hours of ATV America with no problems.Bigger better machines get destroyed durring that race.
They are no racer. We rode as a durability test for Kymco. Don't worry about it being too fast. I think you can restrict the throttle but not 100% sure.
FYI: Kymco has honda roots.

 

Kymco and Artic Cat ties?
I thought Kymco bought Artic Cat.
Does anyone else know for sure?
The 250 Artic Cats have Kymco right on the front of them as well as Artic Cat

I'd buy the kimco 300 or just wait til summer and they'll come out with the 450. I my self bought a300 and I love it i keep up with my friends that have the yamy and hondy's O let me not forget the suzukicamasaki HA HA
I always put them down because most people act like their caca don't stink because they have brand name bikes . well ask your self this question How much faster can you go on rought terrain and how much higher can you jump before you kill your self. I just like to ride.
