If I put a 14 tooth sprocket on my 400ex will it be a noticable differents in bottom end torque ? and how much top end speed will lose ?

I have no idea whats stock, but by the way you sound its a 15 tooth, My Experence with Front sprockets is that one tooth is about a half of a gear.. if you go down to a 14 from a 15 its like almost having one more lower gear, but not quite. Top speed will be just above your current 4th gear top speed. On my old XR500R I dropped one tooth on the rear and went up one on the front for dual sport road use. I went from a 80MPH top speed to well over 100MPH

noo !! I do know it does not effect top end by nearly that much maybe 5-8 MPH cause think about it, it's only going to give you about 1 less tire turn for every 20 or 25 (maybe even more) tire turns you would normally get, so there for top end can't be decreased by any more than 5-8 MPH. And atvconnections sport editor told me i'd lose about 5-6 mph at the most !!! and removing one tooth in the front is equal to removing 3 in the rear !!
