110cc Starter Chain HELP?
#1
Hi, I have a 110cc that has a broken starter chain (it broke at the master link). In order to replace the starter chain, do I have to take the flywheel and all off to get the new chain on, or will it slip over it right on to the starter gear and sprocket? Thanks in advance for any help/advice!

Kawasaki 300s have starter chains. Perhaps the Chinese have been copying that. On a practical note, if you can get at the end of the old chain, and it is still on the crank sprocket, attach the master link to both old and new chains then pull the new chain into place using the old one. Remove old chain and close the loop with the master link.

Thanks for the info guys, but I got it. I just had to take the cover off (5 bolts) and replace the chain. Not quite as easy as slipping it over the sprocket on your old bmx bike but a few skinned knuckles and some choice words, I finally got it.
And yes, there are two chains in the little 110cc Chinese motors, one attached to the starter and another which is the timing chain.

Going through the same thing. Any wise words on how you got that chain in? I can't seem to get it? Only way I'm seeing is pulling flywheel?..
