anyone have an idea how much HP the 05 pred got in the crank and in the wheels?
my friends claims 50-52 in the crank...
no way...
and if anyone know whats the 05 DSX hp in the crank and in the wheels too
we're having a fight which machine got more hp...
anyway i smoke him almost every time in drag race and he says that he is not a good driver yet...

I hear a stock pred has about 40-42 h.p. I am not sure if that is at the crank, or wheels. I am pretty sure it is at the crank though. About the drag race, it should be pretty close, considering power to weight ratios are very similar on the 2. It probably would come to skill, weight, and better tires, and jetting. Theres alot of possibilities. Peace.

 

Don't be so sure, that's about right. I'm hearing dyno numbers of 42hp at the wheels.

 

in the bomb forum they just said the DS got 33 hp in the wheels
so the pred got 42 in the wheels?! if this true with the light weigh the pred got it should BURN the DS in no problem ...
i think the ds got like 48 in the crank 40-42 in the wheels and the pred got less but almost like the ds...
does anyone got a good solid answer?

 

Tell ya what, race your friend from a 3rd gear roll to take the driver out of the equation. I believe you'll find the Pred is quicker. There is someone on here or predatorowners.com that has both and his Pred is quicker i believe.

 

the pred has 50hp at the crank and about 39 at the wheels. The LE have about 42 at the wheels stock due to the PP pipe that comes with it. Adding a header and airbox setup puts it at around 45hp at the wheels.
