I was wanting to know if polaris had anything that could compare to the kawasaki kfx400 an 06 and an 06 yamaha raptor 700 with efi I am in a battle with my buds and they say they can compete and win please help my prove that polaris is the best!!!!!!!

 

Well far as the new 700 raptor goes, polaris doesnt have a quad that can hang with that. The new raptor is stupid fast, the throtle response is almost unreal. I had a 04 raptor brand new and the 700 now is like a totally different machine. I ride a 700 sportsman now(got out of the sport quad fase)although i kinda miss riding wheelies for a mile but i also love my 700 and the way that it rides, muds and the ease of it all. But yeah dfar as polaris going up against the new raptor no they dont have nothing YET.

 

it realy depends on how you spend your money. Buy new and get a stock machine around 6 grand right. Well if i were to have 3600 on an 04 pred and put the other 2400 on mods then you would have a machine that could dominate the raptor and especially the KFX

 

I dont know about that dominate part.

 

If out running your buddies is the main concern find a 2000-2003 400 Scrambler or 400 Trailblazer.Pipe,clutching and a port job and your buddies wont see nothing but your taillight.

 

When modded, a pred can defeat a 700efi rapto pretty easily, stock for stock a predator and a KFX400 are no contest tho. still, that raptor... i think the only way you'll take that down is with some engine work. But it won't take more than a cam, an exhaust, air and carb modds to hang with it. Then you can tell him that it takes him 700 ccs to beat your 500. just a thought [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] but honestly, that 700 is huge and blazing fast, not much our 500s can do against it... wait for the KTM 525 to come out [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] that'll get him for sure. (not trying to start bash session, lets keep this civil.)
