For trail riding, i would go with the wolverine. I would think it would be better for the trails.

Being a Yamaha guy, I would go with the wolverine. A wolverine seems to be more sport oriented, while a rancher is more of a utility.

The only quad's i've owned were a 86' trx 350 foreman, 93' suzuki 300 KQ 4x4 and now an 06' Arctic Cat 400 fis auto with the suzuki engine setup. But my brother has an 04' Rancher and a 96' Yamaha 350 wolfverine, both quads are full time fourwheel drive ! He like's the wolfverine for trail riding, he let me ride it once; and i would have to agree the wolfverine is a more sporty of a ride! The KQ has 2 or 4 wheel drive but the Yamaha has more power, test ride them both if you can; and then deside for yourself they're both good quad's..................williebee
