warrior clutch adjustment
#1
Thanks to the help I received from members of the board, I got the carb rebuilt on my warrior and it is running great. Now, on to the next problem. The clutch doesnt engage until the last quarter inch of lever movement, so I end up almost popping the clutch every time I start out. Is there an adjustment I can do easily to get more "action" out of the clutch lever to allow smoother starts?
FYI, the warrior is a 98 that was used for only about 5 hours. It was sitting in a garage for over 2 years before I bought it. So I believe its just an adjustment, not a worn clutch.
Thx

That's how my clutch is, even with a new clutch kit and cable. You'll get used to it, I don't even notice it at all, other than when I ride someone elses's quad that has more action in the lever.

Thanks guys. I'm slowly getting used to it, but it really bugged me this Sunday when we were riding some rough rocky trails. Trying to go real slow and "ease" across some very rocky parts was a pain. I popped the clutch and stalled it several times. Oh well, I'm going to the same place Wednesday after work, I'll see if I'm getting any better.

if you ride there often, it might pay to get drop / gain a few teeth so you can go a little slower.
thats pretty much what it is, just getting used to it. I know people that have riden for 20 years and still stall.
